Meet The Founder
From a young age, I was always the one to volunteer to babysit, hold the baby, help out a stranger with her toddler, nominate myself to make camps for neighbors. Fast forward some years, and I became a preschool teacher! I was introduced to the great realm of conscious parenting before I even became a parent. This heavily translated into the classroom, where I was looking at each child as an individual and how I can help them with their specific needs and temperament styles.
When I became a mother myself, this passion took on a whole new dimension. However, I now had this beautiful child (which did not come with an instruction manual!!) and I was eager to find a sleep solution that worked for both of us. After lots of research and courses and *way too much* unnecessary advice, we found what worked for us. I began sharing with friends on the street! Neighbors at the park! Anyone I can help, I helped.
My personal journey of research and exploration led me to the realization that I could make a meaningful difference. What I discovered along the way is that sleep consultants sometimes have a reputation for employing a forceful approach. Yet, I stand firmly in opposition to this norm.
Being a mother is not just a role for me – it’s a source of immeasurable joy and my driving force. My children are the “why” behind what I do, and their well-being is at the heart of my every endeavor. My commitment to preserving the unbreakable bond between parent and child stems from the love and dedication I hold for my own family. I believe that every child deserves to feel secure, knowing that their caregiver is always there, whether it’s during the day or the quiet hours of the night. This philosophy underscores my approach as I strive to provide guidance that not only promotes restful sleep but also nurtures the parent-child connection with gentleness and care.
My Passion
I’ve been there, and I truly understand the challenges you’re facing. My passion for helping families stems from the knowledge that I’ve walked in your shoes. I remember when I was pregnant with my first child, seeking advice from a friend who had just become a new parent. I asked her mother for baby sleep tips, and her response – ‘You will never sleep again’ – left me bewildered. It was then that I realized the misconceptions surrounding sleep for parents. I want you to know that I am here to debunk these myths and reassure you that peaceful sleep is achievable for your family.
Our premise is that caregivers always come back, no matter what time of day. This belief is the cornerstone of my approach. I am dedicated to supporting you through every step of this journey. I’m here to show you that sleep challenges can be overcome with understanding, compassion, and tailored solutions.
It’s all about a holistic approach. While I don’t provide medical advice, I often collaborate with lactation consultants, nurses, and pediatricians to ensure we are aligned in our efforts. This comprehensive teamwork ensures that your family receives the well-rounded support it deserves. Together, we’ll address various aspects that contribute to your child’s sleep, striving for a balanced and holistic approach that embraces your family’s unique needs.
My Goals
My ultimate goal is to empower parents with the knowledge and confidence to navigate their baby's sleep journey with grace and understanding. Through my guidance, I aim to help parents realize their innate ability to support their baby's sleep needs, fostering a sense of empowerment and connection that goes beyond just achieving restful nights.
Part of this empowerment comes from teaching parents about the science of sleep – equipping them with a comprehensive understanding of what is developmentally appropriate for their baby. By delving into the intricacies of sleep science, parents gain the tools to make informed decisions that align with their baby's individual needs and growth stages.
In this journey, I emphasize the importance of not comparing your baby to others. Every baby is unique, each with their own temperament and pace of development. There’s no one-size-fits-all approach, and that’s precisely why I steer clear of cookie-cutter methods. Rather, I craft personalized solutions that honor the distinct personality and needs of each baby, as well as the unique circumstances of every parent.
By embracing this approach, I aspire to guide parents on a path of confidence, knowledge, and compassion. Together, we’ll celebrate the beauty of each baby’s uniqueness, empowering parents to create a sleep experience that resonates harmoniously with their family’s dynamics.
