How can we truly help a newborn?
Firstly, Congratulations! I would love to help you truly enjoy the precious newborn stage, and I’m so excited that you’re here to seek guidance on how to best help you and your baby have longer stretches of sleep.
When we work together, we will not be sleep training your baby. Instead, we will be sleep shaping.This means we will be focusing on fostering the special bond between you and your baby, get those full feedings in, while we help facilitate the skill of independent sleep. I will give you the essential tools to foster healthy sleep habits from the start.
Allow me to teach you how to:

  • Absolutely love the newborn stage
  • Create a safe sleep environment
  • The science of sleep and what we can developmentally expect at this age
  • Reverse day & night confusion
  • A deep understanding of sleepy & hunger cues
  • Create a flexible routine rather than a rigid schedule

Important Notice: This is not sleep training. You cannot sleep train a baby under 16 weeks. They need frequent feedings and support. The foundation that you will lay, will help to set up your baby with the skill of falling asleep independently.

I get it and I’ve been there, you must be SO tired. Let me help you. Yes, it is possible to help your baby sleep long stretches, fall asleep independently and truly look forward to sleep. We believe that there is not a cookie cutter method to guiding your baby on the path to a full night sleep. After we have a detailed conversation about your parenting style, your needs, your babies temperament and unique needs, I will gain a full and holistic understanding in order to create a custom plan that you are comfortable with. Harsh sleep training methods are thankfully a thing of the past, and we will not be utilizing any full cry it out methods. At The Rested Baby, we believe that a caregiver is there for their baby during the day, and at night. While guiding your baby and using a method that resonates with you, we will be setting up your baby to understand that mommy and/or daddy always come back, no matter what.

Let’s get into the mind of your toddler or child. How can we best support them during the time where they will be separated from you for the longest? All they want is to be with you, and all you want is to have a peaceful bedtime routine, followed by an uninterrupted night! When we work with children ages 2-5, we focus on their needs while creating healthy boundaries. After I hear about your child and their unique personality and temperament, we will create a custom plan that will help your child feel loved and safe enough to fall asleep and stay asleep at bedtime independently.
